抖M女仆 will celebrate Black History Month with a series of events throughout the month of February at its Boca Raton, Jupiter, and Davie campuses.
抖M女仆 will celebrate Black History Month with a series of events throughout the month of February at its Boca Raton, Jupiter, and Davie campuses. The events are sponsored or co-sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs. All events only are open to 抖M女仆 students, faculty, and staff.
The following events will take place at 抖M女仆鈥檚 Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road:
Black History Month Kick-Off
Wednesday, Feb. 3, from noon to 2 p.m.
Traditions Plaza
The opening ceremony invites the 抖M女仆 community to come together to explore the contributions of African Americans throughout history.
Movie: 鈥42鈥
Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Innovation Village North Multi-Purpose Room
鈥42鈥 is a film about Jackie Robinson, and captures the role that race played in professional sports.
Real Talk: What Are You?
Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Parliament Hall Multi-Purpose Room
Students will examine the role that racial identity plays in forming their thoughts and interactions with others.
