U.S. Dept. of Education Gives 抖M女仆 Lab Schools Green Ribbon Designation
The today announced 抖M女仆鈥檚聽聽(ADHUS) and as a 2019 Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Awardee. The 抖M女仆 Lab School District was the only one in the state of Florida and one of only 14 districts across the country to receive this coveted distinction. In addition to this distinction, last year ADHUS was named National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.
This national recognition was given based on ADHUS and 抖M女仆 High School鈥檚 innovative efforts to reduce environmental impact and utility costs, improve health and wellness, and ensure effective sustainability education.听

ADHUS and 抖M女仆 High School is a Title 1, K-12 public laboratory school under the auspices of the State University System of Florida as part of 抖M女仆鈥檚 . The chief state school officer of Florida nominated the district for this national recognition.听
Since 2011, the聽U.S. Department of Education聽has bestowed this recognition on 76 districts. The Department of Education will celebrate with honorees at an awards ceremony in September in Washington, D.C.
The U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools is an outreach initiative that helps to promote innovative school sustainability practices and resources and multi-agency, multi-sector collaborations at a variety of levels (federal, state, school).
