抖M女仆 Teacher Prep Program Ranked No. 1 in the State
抖M女仆 鈥檚听 Elementary Education/ESOL/Reading听program shares the No. 1 ranking for teacher prep programs in the state of Florida. Findings for 2020 were published in an听听prepared for the听听产测听.听鈥淔lorida Teacher Preparation Programs: A Summary and Analysis of Program Performance鈥 reported the results of each approved teacher preparation program鈥檚 annual progress on established performance measures, as well as each program鈥檚 current approval status.
鈥淭he College of Education does an outstanding job preparing teachers for public schools.听听We are thrilled that the Florida Department of Education has documented the success of our students 鈥 taught by a first-rate faculty 鈥 who are improving the lives of K-12 students throughout South Florida and beyond,鈥 said听Stephen Silverman, Ed.D., dean of 抖M女仆 College of Education.
At the elementary level, the top-ranked program was Elementary Education/ ESOL/Reading offered by听抖M女仆 College of Education. The third largest program reviewed, Elementary/ESOL/Reading had the greatest increase in summative score, rising from a 2.6 in 2019 to a 3.8 this year, the highest overall summative score for 2020. In addition, it was one of two programs to earn the highest score of 4.0 for student learning growth on state wide assessments.
