Florida Gov. Rick Scott visited 抖M女仆 to sign HB 7019, a bill that will offer more affordable higher education in the state.
鈥淚t was an honor to host Gov. Scott at 抖M女仆,鈥 said 抖M女仆 President John Kelly. 鈥淲e are so thankful for all that he has done for 抖M女仆 and his commitment to higher education.鈥
The new legislation provides greater transparency to students regarding college costs; helps hold the line on graduate school tuition; informs students of required and recommended textbooks before the start of classes; requires Florida colleges and universities to adopt policies that make textbooks more affordable; and requires the Board of Governors and the State Board of Education to annually study and make recommendations on how to make college more affordable.
