The ceremony recognizes the University’s most outstanding students and faculty (a full list of honorees is attached). The event will take place at 4 p.m. at the University Theatre in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

Awards and recognition include eight University scholars, the Distinguished Student award, the University Club Merit award, the Phi Kappa Phi scholar, the Stan and Renee Wimberly scholar, the Undergraduate Researchers awards, the Student-Athletes of the Year awards, and the Fraternity and Sorority scholars. Additionally, the MŮ Board of Trustees Service Award will be awarded to a community member who has served the University. The winner of the Distinguished Teacher of the Year award, which is determined by MŮ students, will present the keynote speech. This year’s recipient is Stephen Engle, Ph.D., of the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters. Engle is a professor of history, with a focus on 19th Century U.S. history and Civil War and Reconstruction. A Fulbright Scholar and frequent lecturer of the Smithsonian Institution, Engle also serves as the director of the Alan B.
