抖M女仆 Symposium Addresses Origins of the American Presidency

抖M女仆鈥檚 2019 Alan B. and Charna Larkin Symposium on the American Presidency鈥檚 鈥淥rigins of the American Presidency,鈥 a two-day symposium featuring scholars from around the world to present research, will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 20 and Thursday, Feb. 21 at 抖M女仆鈥檚 Student Union, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. 听Tickets for the symposium are $35 and tickets for the symposium and VIP reception are $60. Tickets can be purchased by calling 561-297-6124, at , or at the Box Office in 抖M女仆鈥檚 Student Union. 抖M女仆 faculty, staff and student rates also are available at the box office.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 3:30 p.m., Caroline Winterer of Stanford University will present 鈥淭he American Presidency in the Age of Enlightenment鈥 in the Live Oak Pavilion of 抖M女仆鈥檚 Student Union. Winterer is Anthony P. Meier Family Professor in the Humanities and director of the Stanford Humanities Center. She is an American historian, with special expertise in American thought and culture. She will sign her most recent book, 鈥淎merican Enlightenments: Pursuing Happiness in the Age of Reason,鈥 following the lecture, with a reception to take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Wimberly Library.听

On Thursday, Feb. 21, the symposium will last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Live Oak Pavilion. Presentations include:
