Our staff provides personalized attention to all students from the time they aspire to attend the Wilkes Honors College until the successful completion of their degree.
Nearly all of the Honors College鈥檚 endowment goes to students in the form of scholarships. The majority (in 2016, 55%) of our graduates accrued no college debt and the average among those students is $10,000 less than the national average for public universities.
We provide education, resources and safety for your student during their collegiate career. Our on-campus police department provides 24-hour surveillance and protection for your student鈥檚 safety. Our on-campus student services department offers accredited medical care, counseling and wellness resources for your student鈥檚 health.

The Wilkes Honors College challenges top-performing students in new ways, with a rigorous curriculum and rewarding path to graduate school and professional success. With just 15 students per class on average, every professor interacts with students personally. That makes learning far more effective and rewarding than classes held in large lecture halls.
Your student will have access to rewarding research few undergraduates experience. Students conduct research alongside faculty members and publish or present discoveries before they even graduate, giving them a strong head start on their future career.
In addition to Florida Atlantic itself, our campus partners are Scripps Florida and Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience: both are admired worldwide. Students can also do research and internships at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute.
STEM Concentrations and Beyond: We offer top programs in a broad range of academic subjects in the natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, humanities, and arts. For those aspiring to become a doctor, scientist, pharmacist, physician assistant or veterinarian, our concentrations fully prepare you for graduate or professional school and careers in these fields. Students interested in academic careers in such diverse fields such as anthropology, biology, history, political science, and chemistry can all start their paths to success at the WHC!
Scholarships for every student: With few exceptions, all Wilkes Honors College students are awarded merit-based scholarships upon review of the application materials.
Modern residence halls: The Wilkes Honors College is a residential college. All incoming freshmen live on campus their first two years. Students enjoy secure, suite-style accommodations with high-speed internet and cable television in every bedroom
On-campus: there鈥檚 a pool, sports facilities and numerous activities, all within a safe neighborhood surrounding campus. Students are minutes from convenient shopping and nearby amenities, as well as beautiful parks, waterways and healthy outdoors fun that can be enjoyed in our year-round mild and sunny climate.
